GCS Workshop – Starting a Tech Company

Come out on Thursday, Feb 3 for the first in our series of GCS workshops!

Eric Kitchen, CEO of AI startup Nextria and serial entrepreneur will be talking about starting a tech company. Eric has founded several successful startups, and he has plenty of experience with mergers and acquisitions for other companies. If you’re interested in the startup scene or how tech and business combine, then don’t miss this chance to hear from someone who’s been around the block!

Keep an eye on your Queen’s email for the meeting link!

Christmas Party

Join us at GCS in celebrating the holidays and the end of classes!

Registration is closing soon for our Christmas event. Make sure to sign up by November 30th if you want to attend! Sign up here.

This will be held at the Mansion (506 Princess St) on Dec 11. Optional activities will include a gift exchange and an ugly sweater contest!

As of now, we’re still able to hold an in-person event with appropriate COVID precautions in place, but we’re monitoring the situation closely. Stay tuned for updates and stay safe!

Campus Tour

Don’t know the campus outside of your lab and classes? Missed out on the tours at the start of the year? Join us for our first GCS event of this academic year!

On Tuesday the 16th of November the GCS will have a tour for interested students that want to get familiar with their campus. Students will need to follow all current Covid restrictions and self screen using their SeQure app, but this is a great opportunity to meet other members of the Graduate Computing Society, and get to know fellow students!
